I have to ask myself why it is that So called scholars Automatically discredit anything unless there is written proof? The first thing one learns of freemasonry is that it is a SECRET society. You are not going to find documented proof of very much obviously. And what is the best way for a small society to hide? It's simple make the small society within a very large society. 99.8% of Freemasons in my opinion Know nothing. Also It is said that The Freemasons began in the 18th century. That my friends is totally hogwash. That is when they became known perhaps .. Freemasons worked closely with the templars. Masons of that time Held the name of Freemasons because they where allowed to travel freely as to the nature of there work.(hence free masons) And there has been Freemasons for thousands of years. So don't believe all the claims that there was no Freemasons prior to the 18th century.
